Development of the Body of Geometry. Development of the Bone Marrow through Movement
Translational motion of the body is an example of locomotion (locomotor movements) – the movement of the body in space resulting from the work of the muscles (the active part of the musculoskeletal system) and the bones and their joints (its passive part).
These movements affect our rhythm and ability to naturally support the skeleton, however there is no internal effort in this case. Such an effort can be developed through breathing. At this stage of the development of the Geometric body, our task is to accumulate motion and save energy, which can help us to gain control over the internal movement.
In general, motion consisting of pushing off of a firm plane, such as walking, running and jumping, creates conditions for the energy to go only out, but not in (in women, this outward movement occurs partially). In single-plane motion, i.e. motion which has no geometry, the main driving force for the process of walking is muscle strength.
To begin to understand the internal geometry of movement from the position of the bone marrow, we need the following:
Balance. Balance is achieved through a well-built tendon system and an axis.
Static position. The position of the human body is the internal basis of movement. It helps reveal the function, meaning and possibilities of the mind in motion.
Gravity. The human body has a certain weight, which is affected by gravity and energy accumulation. The physical centre of gravity of the body is located at the level of the sacrum. Women have a lower centre of gravity than men. The energy centre of gravity is located in the lower abdomen (just like the centre of gravity in women). If we want to use the energy centre of gravity, we must first create it, and build our geometry well.
The energy centre is more difficult to create for men than it is for women, however men manage it with greater ease through conscious work. Without an energetic centre of gravity, our energy cannot have the strength needed to reach the marrow.
The next step in developing the Geometric body concerns energy direction – energy can be either guided by us or it can move in the right direction on its own. In theory, this is possible if we have manifested the spirit (shen). The manifestation of the Shen spirit is an established tension between the tension of the body (achieved by the geometry of the body) and the tension of the bone marrow. This is the highest level of connection – the immortal connection. In this case, the body does not stop, figuratively speaking, it does not rest, but functions like a perpetual motion machine.
In this case, the work comes from within, and it has no opposites – the body does not move in a straight line, but constantly revolves in and out. The body achieves an internal repetition or recurrence of movement which helps to generate energy.
Internal recurrence
Internal recurrence must begin with the neck, as this helps return the energy to the brain.
Recurrence in the bone marrow – lower back.
Recurrence in the spinal cord is linked to respiration, here we must take into account the state of our respiration organs (as their geometry affects respiration).
Where to begin
Sitting position. We should start in a sitting position, as we must avoid disrupting our breathing, since our energy centre cannot focus our breath. In a sitting position, the physical centre of gravity does not interfere with the energy centre. At the same time, we can find support in the most important locus of the bone marrow – the lower back, the pelvis and the hips. Our physical centre moves to the chest area (the ninth thoracic vertebra) and connects with the energy centre, and we achieve geometric breathing. Geometric breathing, or the skeleton of breathing, is the basis for energy breathing, which is built through the geometry of abdominal breathing.
Lying position. Working in a lying position is important for neutralizing improperly built muscles. This state takes into account physical deviations resulting from multidirectional tonality.
Standing position. Since the physical centre of gravity of the body swings like a pendulum, ensuring the movement of the body, the body lacks internal fixation, which prevents it from fixing the energy centre.
Therefore, we need to learn how to move – this special education process must be based on the concepts of dimension, flow, completeness, recurrence, preservation and concentration.
To achieve this, we must build well the geometry of the arms and legs so that the energy can move in two directions, independently of external breathing, we must also take energy from its source in the lower abdomen, which is controlled by the correct position of the coccyx, chest and head.
