Mana. The Physics of the Faith
Antiquity left to the Middle Ages a special legacy: the concept of “Mana” – the spirituality of the ether. The ancient Maori initially considered the ether as one of the cosmic fields. But the loss of the ability to perceive these fields reduced the meaning of Mana to that of the elements.
Once upon a time, the ether was perceived as something self-evident, like the scent of flowers in a garden, but over time it gave way to the elements, and for many became itself the fifth element (earth, water, air, fire and ether). However, originally the ethereal field or even fields were called Mana – an area of a certain vibration and density (today it is perceived in a similar manner in aromatherapy). The difference between fields and elements is crucial in regards to the ether. There are four elements, seven ethers and twelve integral fields, an entry point and an exit point.
Speaking of ether, we should rather speak of direction (angle) or tension. The celestial bodies, which are located in the higher spheres of the cosmos, consist of ether, which is eternal, does not pass into the elements (not eternal) and makes circular motions in relation to other ethers.
The ethereal body can hypothetically be destroyed, or rather, pass into another state of space (field). For the same reason, it can manifest itself in our field, inhabited by people. Within our time space, the ether is rather a function, a spirit, represented by the bodies that surround us. This spirituality, in fact, is the representation of the Higher or Mana.
Mana is both the ether and the force of the ether, a conducting medium for light. It is also a conditional (limited) space, and an unconditional one, where phenomena that are not subject to rationality and temporal physics can occur. Alchemy conceptualises this as an environment that must enter the body through the breath so that the body does not deteriorate. This means that it is perceived as a kind of breath of the celestials (which is opposite to the air that mortals breathe).
O highest cloud, where the power of Mana resides,
Perfect support for the stars, the Moon and the Sun!
You are ever-breathing, you are the spark of life!
The ether is the foundation of the Higher universe!
Magnificent, filled with the light of Mana!
Be filled with clear light!
The hymn to the ether describes the substance as “the reigning, indestructible force of Mana”, capable of manifesting in the lower fields, representing the life substance of the higher fields within them. Therefore, the ether can be considered as an element. Thus, each essential oil, while operating in our space, can also be considered as an element – for example, the element of eucalyptus, sage, mint or lavender.
